A MYSTERIOUS object spotted in Antarctica could be hiding a huge secret – if conspiracy theorists are to be believed.
The unusual sighting was made on Google Earth by Graham Maple, who runs the YouTube channel ‘Conspiracy Depot’.

Maple used mapping software to discover the black object, which he claims looks much like a spotlight – complete with a beam of light protruding from one side.
The object appears to be facing a mountain, and according to Maple, might be pointing towards “something of interest”.
In a clip posted online, he says: “It appears to be in a remote location, I cannot see anything in the surrounding area of interest.
“This is a dark object which appears to be acting as a spotlight or reflecting sunlight onto the mountainside.

“One thing I did notice is that there appears to be something on the mountain – it looks like a miniature model of a city.
“There’s definitely something of interest for whoever put this here.
“It’s clearly some sort of technology that is being used to reflect sunlight onto a point of interest.
“There doesn’t appear to be any other bases in the area so I’m dumbfounded who put this here.”

The internet is awash with thousands of conspiracy theories, from the bizarre to the plausible.
The most popular of these is the ‘End of the World’ theory, with some predicting the Rapture is imminent.
According to American Christian conspiracy theorist David Meade, the world will come to an end next week, on April 23.
Meade claims that on this day the sun, moon and Jupiter will align in the constellation Virgo, sparking the beginning of the biblical Rapture.
He suggests that on this night, the mysterious “death planet” Nibiru will appear in the sky, triggering the onset of World War III, rise of the Antichrist, and seven years of Tribulation.
It should be noted that Nibiru remains an unproven enтιтy, with NASA saying it is nothing more than a hoax.
