Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is feeling confident ahead of his one-on-one 3-point contest against New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu.
Curry and Ionescu are finally set to face-off on Saturday night, during All-Star weekend in Indianapolis.
‘There’s only one outcome,’ Curry said during an interview on NBA TV. ‘It’s that I win.’
‘She’s unbelievable,’ Curry said. ‘Unbelievable shooter, unbelievable player. It should be great for the game to have a little compeтιтion.’
Ionescu has also had nothing but positive things to say about Curry during the lead up to the event.

The Liberty guard said it was ‘a blessing to be mentioned in the same conversation as Steph’

‘It’s a blessing to even be in the same conversation as Steph and to be able to see how much he has respected me as a player and a basketball player and a person to want to come out here and do this,’ Ionescu said.
‘He wants to beat me. I can tell you that, he’s not taking it easy. He was out there booing me as I was practicing yesterday and trying to get in my head.’
Ionescu originally challenged Curry last year, after she won the WNBA 3-point compeтιтion.
So far this season Curry has been averaging 28 points, 4.4 rebounds, and five ᴀssists for the Warriors, whose record currently sits at 27-26.
Last season in the WNBA, Ionescu averaged 17 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.4 ᴀssists for the Liberty.
