Shannon Sharpe seeking $100M podcast deal that blows away NFL career earnings

Shannon Sharpe is on the market and the price is high.

The Hall of Famer’s media deal with Colin Cowherd’s The Volume podcast network has expired, and Sharpe has reportedly received several offers for his talents and is expected to agree to a deal that could exceed up to $100 million, per Front Office Sports.

Any new deal agreed to will include all the shows on the Shay Shay network, not Sharpe’s show alone. This includes “Club Shay Shay”, “Nightcap”, “Club 520 Podcast”, “The Bubba Dub Show”, and “Humble Baddies.”

The expected income is also more than his 15-year NFL career earnings as a тιԍнт end, who won three Super Bowls, and received four first-team All-Pro and eight Pro Bowl selections when playing with the Broncos and Ravens.

In the NFL, Sharpe made $22,328,500 with his highest-paying season in 2000 with the Ravens when he made $5 million, according to Spotrac.

Following Sharpe’s dramatic breakup with Skip Bayless on Fox Sports 1’s “Undisputed” show, the media personality partnered with The Volume in August 2023 to create “Club Shay Shay.”

The show became one of the most popular sports and entertainment podcasts, especially on YouTube, where he holds nearly four million subscribers.

One of his interviews — a nearly three-hour-long chat with comedian Katt Williams that helped skyrocket his podcast — reached 89 million views since being released on Jan. 3, 2024.

Sharpe’s popularity also grew when he became a regular on ESPN shows such as “First Take” with Stephen A. Smith.
