Jason Kelce deletes joke about having a stroke while watching quidditch on television

Jason Kelce deleted a joke about having a stroke on Saturday as he watched quidditch on TV.

The Harry Potter-inspired sport was being broadcast on ESPNEWS, and the Eagles legend found himself baffled by the sport as he tuned in.

‘What’s happening on ESPNEWS, people are playing quiditch?,’ he wrote on X. ‘It’s really weird, but I’m really just mad that they aren’t using actual brooms and dressed like wizards. Like if we’re gonna do this, why not go all in on the wizarding world. These uniforms are inappropriate.’

He then commented on the sport’s inclusion of a ‘Snitch,’ who is a neutral player dressed in yellow shorts.

‘Oh my god, the Snitch is sbdolutrlh hilarious,’ he wrote, badly misspelling the word ‘absolutely.’ ‘Just a dude with the word snitch written on his shorts hahaha. What in the f***.’

Kelce then reacted to his misspelling with a now-deleted post.

‘Woah did I have a stroke… absolutely*.’

Fans also took to Kelce’s replies as they continued the conversation about the bizarre sport, which sees players run around with sticks tucked between their legs.

‘I just put on ESPN after seeing this….. didn’t even know they had an actual league with games,’ one said.

‘I love that you watched for 10 whole min,’ another added. ‘A true sportsman.’

Kelce previously discussed the sports that he wants his three daughters to play.

He and his wife Kylie, who was a college field hockey player, share five-year-old Wyatt, three-year-old Elliotte, and 22-month-old Bennett.

And Kelce told PEOPLE in January that his daughters are ‘getting old enough that they’re into sports now.’

‘I want to get them back out on the ice this year because I like ice skating,’ he said. ‘So it’d be awesome to do some ice skating before the season pᴀsses, and want to get them into baseball this year.’

‘Of course, field hockey,’ Jason added.

‘They already have the little sticks. But yeah, field hockey and lacrosse, or two sports that I love, but they’re not quite old enough for that yet. But we got the mini sticks and don’t mess around with them.’

He also detailed how ‘they’re riding bikes and doing gymnastics.’

Jason and Kylie revealed in November that they are expecting a fourth daughter .

The news, revealed on Kylie’s Instagram page, showed an image of their three daughters – Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett – all wearing sweaters that say ‘Big Sister’ on them.
