Ranking the top 10 cornerbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft

The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy gives his top 10 cornerbacks in this year’s NFL draft, based on evaluations and conversations with people around the league:

1. Travis Hunter, Colorado, 6-0, 188

Two-way star also is WR1 and wants to play both ways. Rangy ball hawk whether left on an island or in zone. Won 2024 Chuck Bednarik Award (NCAA Defensive Player of the Year) after 15 pᴀsses defended and four interceptions. Will be forced to tackle more.

2. Will Johnson, Michigan, 6-2, 194

Preseason borderline top five prospect whose season was cut short by turf toe. Reading quarterback’s eyes led to nine interceptions (three returned for touchdowns). Offers fluidity and length to match up with bigger receivers. Overaggressive hunting the ball instead of wrapping up.

Kentucky’s Maxwell Hairston shows support for his teammates during the university’s NFL pro day in Lexington, Ky. AP

3. Maxwell Hairston, Kentucky, 5-11, 183

Fastest 40-yard dash (4.28 seconds) of all NFL combine prospects. Mirrors receiver movements and jumps pᴀssing lanes (six interceptions, including three pick-sixes). Plays with chip on shoulder. Slender frame not ideal for tackling after the catch, but plays bigger in run support.
