Luka Doncic’s jersey has become the highest-selling among NBA players, overtaking Steph Curry and LeBron James in sales.
In February, the NBA world was rocked to the core when the Dallas Mavericks shockingly traded their franchise player to Los Angeles – pairing him up with James in the City of Angels.
Upon his arrival, Doncic did more than impact the Lakers’ on-court performance. According to NBAStore.com, the Slovenian’s shocking trade also sent merchandise sales soaring after the February 6 ᴅᴇᴀᴅline.
‘Since the NBA trade ᴅᴇᴀᴅline on Feb. 6, jersey sales on NBAStore.com are up 21% compared to the same period last year, primarily driven by Dončić’s trade to the Lakers,’ the website noted.
Curry and James sit second and third, respectively. Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum and Jalen Brunson finish the top-5. Behind them are Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Edwards, Ja Morant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokic.
Furthermore, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LaMelo Ball, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Jaylen Brown rounded up the top 15, according to the store.

Marc Stein noted that Doncic is the first top-jersey seller not named Stephen Curry or LeBron James since the 2012-2013 season. He is also the first international player to lead the NBA in jersey sales.
Since joining the purple and gold Doncic has helped the Lakers go from a struggling playoff team to a bona fide contender.
Doncic helped JJ Redick’s side clinch the third seed in the Western Conference as they gear up to face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the opening round of the playoffs.
So far this season, Doncic has averaged 28.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 7.7 ᴀssists while shooting 45 per cent from the field.
