Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes on the brink of huge announcement

Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are closing in on an opening day for their Kansas City restaurant project.

1587, a Kansas City-based steakhouse that the Chiefs quarterback and тιԍнт end are opening in partnership with Noble 33, will open this summer, according to PEOPLE.

The restaurant will be stationed inside the sleek Loews Kansas City H๏τel and feature ‘multi-sensory dining aspects’ and ‘subtle nods’ to the players, whose jersey numbers appear on the name.

The initial buzz around the restaurant started in March 2024 when it was slated to open early this year. However, there have not been any updates on the official website since.

Last April, Kelce confirmed in an exclusive with PEOPLE that he and Mahomes were aiming for a 2025 grand opening. He also called the new venture an ‘unbelievable opportunity.’

‘[It’s] just another thing that we want to bring to Kansas City, to be able to show our appreciation for the city, knowing how much they love their food and how much they love their football,’ Kelce said.

The steakhouse will have two floors and 10,000 square feet of space. Furthermore, 1867 will have several private rooms and a ‘jaw-dropping’ meat display.

‘Travis and I have become frequent visitors of Noble 33 restaurants in other cities, so it only made sense to bring something special to our own community in Kansas City,’ Mahomes said in a company release.

The project comes after the Chiefs’ threepeat was derailed by a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

While Mahomes spends more time with his family, Kelce recently became an uncle for the fourth time after his brother, Jason Kelce, welcomed his fourth daughter Finnley Anne with wife Kylie on March 30.
