Why тιтans, Shedeur Sanders agreed to cancel private workout weeks before NFL draft

The тιтans have seen enough.

Tennessee, which owns the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, was slated to host a private workout with presumptive top-10 prospect Shedeur Sanders, which was slated for April 9, according to the team website’s senior reporter Jim Wyatt.

According to the report, the тιтans feel they have sufficient information on Sanders, the former Colorado quarterback, after watching his college games and attending his pro day on Friday.

Sanders and receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter both worked out at the Colorado event, which showcased their skills ahead of the April 24 draft.

Deion Sanders, Colorado’s head coach and Shedeur’s father, said that the Buffaloes’ draft prospects are the best of the best in the 2025 class.

“I think we have the most qualified guys in the draft,” Deion told reporters Friday. “They’re not a risk. Shedeur has been doing it year after year after year. Shedeur has led college football in this, this, this this. Travis, ain’t nobody like Travis. … I’m not a betting man, I’m a Godly man, but the surest bets in this draft are those two young men. And I didn’t stutter or stammer when I said that. … Mic drop, let’s go.”

The younger Sanders is viewed as part of the top two quarterback prospects this year along with former Miami signal-caller Cam Ward, who is seen by most draft experts as the top QB available.

Will Levis, Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle are the three quarterbacks currently rostered by the тιтans, so it seems likely they will take one of Ward or Sanders.

“We’re going to do our due diligence,” head coach Callahan told reporters earlier this week.

“Whatever we’re doing doesn’t have to do with any specific player. I wouldn’t say it precludes anybody. We’re just making sure the process is done the right way.”

The Giants, who sent a large group to watch Sanders and Hunter on Friday, could be in line to take the next-best quarterback at the third pick.
