How Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift spend time behind closed doors after his shock decision to sideline her

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are adapting to their new normal away from the spotlight after the NFL star blamed last year’s struggles with the Kansas City Chiefs on his newfound fame.

Kelce, 35, nearly retired after the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl in February but decided to come back for at least one more season. And a lesson he has learned is to focus on football instead of fame.

Daily Mail exclusively reported this week that a source close to Kelce believes the star is not going to let anything stand between him and another run at Super Bowl glory – not even his love life.

Kelce went public with his romance with Swift in September 2023, enjoying a magnificent season as he helped the Chiefs to Super Bowl victory. But the following season, he rarely found his best form as his fame kept rising off the back of his romance with Swift.

Now, Page Six says that with the NFL in its offseason and Swift’s relentless run of Eras Tour dates over, they are learning to enjoy their downtime and making sure they use the time to reset.

‘Travis will be heading to training camp later this summer and Taylor will eventually need to head back to work, so this is a sliver of time they have all to themselves,’ the insider was quoted as saying.

‘A lot of their time is spent at home just relaxing. Despite their fame, they’re really just like any other couple.

‘They like to cuddle on the couch and watch movies, play board games, spend time with family, cook dinner together and just hang out.

‘This is such a nice escape for them to finally be able to stay out of the limelight for a bit before they eventually have to get out in the public eye again.’

Last summer, Kelce traveled around the world to see Swift on tour in Australia and Europe. He also filmed his TV series for Amazon and an acting role for the show Grotesquerie.

But this time around, he seems to be keeping a lower profile. A cameo appearance in Happy Gilmore 2 is already filmed and he has only occasionally been pictured out with Swift.

In Kansas City, mandatory minicamp with the Chiefs runs from June 17-19 but the team will be holding workouts in May.

Earlier this week, his Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said how impressed he is with Kelce’s efforts to stay fit during the offseason.

‘He wants to come back and he’s training like crazy, too,’ Reid said, while adding that he thought Kelce struggled last year due to injuries across the Chiefs offense.

‘We were banged up at the (receiver) positions, so that doesn’t help a тιԍнт end’s cause at all. The healthier we can be around him, he can still be productive,’ Reid said.

Swift, meanwhile, has no tour dates announced as it stands for 2025.

The Kelce family had some big news to celebrate this week, with Travis becoming an uncle for the fourth time.

His older brother Jason and his wife Kylie welcomed their fourth daughter together, naming the baby Finnley Anne.

Travis’s first meeting with his new niece was recorded on New Heights, with Jason holding her up to the camera so he could talk to her for the first time.
