Cardinals’ Trey McBride unseats Travis Kelce as the NFL’s top-paid тιԍнт end

Trey McBride is now the highest-paid тιԍнт end in NFL history after he agreed to a four-year, $76 million extension with the Cardinals, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

According to the report, McBride will make $43 million guaranteed and get an average of $19 million per year, the largest amount for an NFL тιԍнт end.

He surpᴀsses the previous record holder, Chiefs тιԍнт end Travis Kelce ($17.1 million per year).

McBride, a 2022 second-round pick out of Colorado State, is coming off a strong season where he set a career-high in receptions (111) and yards (1,146).

The тιԍнт end also had three touchdowns to his name in 2024.

“Maaaaan! So happy for my dawg, worth every penny! More work to be done but a great day,” Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray posted on X after news of the signing was reported.

“LFG! Going to be special,” McBride also reacted.

The Cardinals expect more big things out of the 25-year-old in the years to come.

“He had a really good year but he hasn’t hit his ceiling,” Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said at the NFL combine, the team’s website reported. “He’s working on different parts of his game, but he needs to keep doing what he’s doing.

“He’s not a one-trick pony.”
