The Cleveland Browns and New York Giants are looking to stir away from drafting a quarterback, according to Adam Schefter’s latest report.
With the fourth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars are on the prowl to land top prospect Travis Hunter. However, two quarterbacks must be selected in the top three to enable such luck for the Jaguars.
Unfortunately for Jacksonville, the Browns and Giants are reportedly stirring away from signal-callers come April 24.
‘It certainly feels like the Cleveland Browns are inclined to look elsewhere, aside from quarterback,’ Schefter shared on the latest edition of the Adam Schefter Podcast, via Jaguars on Sports Illustrated.
‘And it’s starting to feel like the New York Giants at No 3 are starting to look elsewhere other than quarterback.’
‘So, if the Browns don’t take Shedeur Sanders at 2, and if the Giants don’t take Shedeur Sanders at 3, and that is the feel that I’m getting recently, where is Shedeur Sanders going?’ Schefter added.

The Tennessee тιтans are expected to take Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick.
If neither the Giants nor the Browns go for a quarterback, it is safe to guess that, in some order, Abdul Carter and Hunter will be taken at second and third.
Unlucky for the Jaguars, who are drafting fifth, the New England Patriots already have a quarterback in Drake Maye. Meaning, New England may acquire Hunter’s two-way ability with their fourth pick.
According to ESPN’s mock draft, the Browns will take Carter, the Penn State Edge while the Giants will draft Sanders, which goes against Schefter’s inside information.
The Giants’ potential decision not to draft a quarterback comes after the team signed Russell Wilson to a one-year deal worth $10.5million.
On the other hand, Cleveland has Deshaun Watson and Kenny Picket on their depth chart heading into next season.
