BREAKING NEWSMove over, Travis Kelce! NFL тιԍнт end Trey McBride replaces Chiefs star as best paid in the position after agreeing new deal

Travis is Kelce is no longer the highest-paid end in the NFL as the тιтle now belongs to Arizona Cardinals star Trey McBride.

On Thursday, Adam Schefter reported that the Pro Bowl тιԍнт end signed a lucrative four-year, $76million extension to remain in Arizona.

The deal includes $43m guaranteed money and $19m average per year, per Schefter.

McBride, 25, was a second-round pick in 2022 which blossomed into one of the Cardinals’ best players. Now entering his fourth year in the NFL, the Colorado State product earned his first Pro Bowl nod in 2024.

During his third season in the league, McBride caught 111 pᴀsses for 1,146 yards with two touchdowns. He also had a two-yard rushing touchdown in his lone carry in the NFL.

After winning his second straight Super Bowl, and third with Kansas City, in 2024, the Chiefs gave Kelce two-year, $34.25m extension to keep him through 2025.

The deal gave Kelce a $4m raise as he averaged $17.125m per season. While Kelce topped all other тιԍнт ends’ paydays then, he is now second to McBride.

McBride’s mᴀssive contract comes despite the Cardinals missing the playoffs every year since his arrival. Last season, Arizona finished 8-9 and third in the NFC West.

So far in his career, McBride has 221 receptions for 2,236 yards and six touchdowns in 49 games.

With one year left in his deal, Kelce will return to the Kansas City camp after contemplating retirement after the Super Bowl.

Kelce made 97 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns before the Chiefs were steamrolled by the Philadelphia Eagles, 40-22, to uncrown them in the season finale in February.
