Jason Kelce reveals why raising a newborn baby isn’t ‘exciting’… after welcoming fourth girl with wife Kylie

Jason Kelce reveals why raising a newborn baby isn't 'exciting'... after welcoming fourth girl with wife Kylie

Jason Kelce has claimed the first six months of raising a child are never ‘exciting’ following the birth of his baby daughter Finney.

The Philadelphia Eagles legend’s wife Kylie announced in a heartwarming post Tuesday night that she gave birth to their fourth child – and fourth girl – on March 30.

Tributes have poured in for the couple, who already shared three daughters in Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett, after their newest bundle of joy arrived at the weekend – including from Taylor Swift.

Though despite insisting the birth itself is always an ‘overwhelming’ experienced, Jason admits raising Finney will be a slightly uneventful affair until she turns six months old.

‘Babies are awesome, but they don’t do a lot for the first six months,’ he told younger brother Travis on their New Heights podcast. ‘It really doesn’t get exciting until they start smiling and giving you something.

‘It’s amazing, watching a birth is still one of the most crazy things that you can ever witness. There’s a moment when you see any baby that’s just like overwhelming.

‘[But] you can’t really do much [until] around the six-month mark.

‘Benny [Bennett] right now, Benny’s a little over two, she is a lot of fun. Spitfire, doesn’t even know when she’s being offensive… it’s the best.’

Jason and Kylie, who tied the knot back in April 2018, welcomed Wyatt in October of 2019, Elliotte in March of 2021, and Bennett in February of 2023 – just weeks after Jason lost to brother Travis at Super Bowl LVII.

Kylie broke the happy news about her latest child birth on Tuesday, revealing they have chosen to name their new baby girl, Finnley ‘Finn’ Anne Kelce.

‘Whoop, there she is!,’ the 33-year-old wrote alongside a series of adorable pH๏τos of baby Finn, dad Jason, 37, and herself.

Travis’ girlfriend Taylor was one of the first to react to the news after liking Kylie’s post on Tuesday, with the likes of NFL reporter Erin Andrews and San Francisco 49ers WAG Kristin Juszczyk also sharing their well wishes.

As for Travis, he met his new niece for the first time in an emotional moment on the latest episode of his and Jason’s New Heights podcast.

Gasping in amazement as she appeared on camera in Kylie’s arms, the Kansas City Chiefs тιԍнт end said: ‘Hey little muffin! Look at you! Hanging out with mom? Tell Ky I said hello, I am glad everything went great.’

Jason then held his headphones up to Kylie, and Travis said: ‘You’re impressive Ky, you’re impressive.’

She joked back: ‘This really wouldn’t be possible without your brother, you know?’

Travis continued: ‘Is this Finny? Adorable. You just look adorable, I don’t have anything to say to you.’

Jason jokingly asked his new daughter: ‘How was Kylie’s uterus?’ to which Travis said: ‘I’m sorry your dad is a weirdo.’
