тιтans reveal ‘short list’ of players they would take at No. 1 in 2025 NFL Draft

More than 250 picks will be made in the 2025 NFL Draft, but the тιтans must settle on just one player with the first overall pick.

While Tennessee head coach Brian Callahan and general manager Mike Borgonzi say they don’t have it fully figured out, they’ve got their list narrowed down.

“I think it’s a short list at No. 1 for sure, it’s all the guys that I think are worthy of it, the ones that everyone talks about out there, and between Travis [Hunter] and Shedeur [Sanders] and Cam [Ward] and Abdul Carter, I think those are, that’s the top of the draft for me, those are the most elite players in the draft,” Callahan told NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero. “There’s going to be a lot of good ones certainly that come after them, but I think those at this moment are the best players in the draft and at the top of it.”

Callahan’s list came at the NFL’s annual meeting after Borgonzi said “everything is still on the table” earlier this week.

After a poor season from quarterback Will Levis, the position is likely to be a top priority for the тιтans, which would lead them to either Ward or Sanders.

But Carter could bolster a weak defense and Hunter could aid on both sides of the ball.

And while these four prospects are at the top of Tennessee’s list, there’s always the option to trade the pick for a wealth of other resources.

Even without anyone selecting ahead of them, many teams typically keep their priorities private.

So Callahan’s unusual decision to reveal this list could mean something when it comes to the organization’s moves on draft night as it could be all a bluff to wind up making a trade down away from the four prospects.

The тιтans will exhaust all their options.

“We’re getting closer for sure, all of the processes are moving right along,” Callahan said. “I would say we have a pretty good feel for what direction we’re headed by early April here, and you put the final touches on it and tie the bow over it by the time you get to the draft.”
