MAGA-hating NBA owner Mark Cuban fires back at former employee calling for him to 'be run out of Dallas'

Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban is facing calls from his own former employees to flee the Texas city following recent controversy.

The NBA organization recently descended into a meltdown when the team traded away its biggest star, Luka Doncic, to the Los Angeles Lakers.

And despite selling his majority stake in the Mavericks in 2023, Cuban, who has been outspoken critic of Donald Trump’s agenda in Washington DC, has found himself in the firing line.

Last week, a former Mavericks event manager, Gavin Mulloy, took aim at the billionaire on Facebook, claiming that he ‘should be run out of Dallas,’ for his role in the Doncic saga.

Yet, the former ‘Shark Tank’ personality, who apparently had nothing to do with the transaction orchestrated by General Manager Nico Harrison, furiously hit back.

Taking to the comments, Cuban wrote: ‘Hey Gavin Mulloy how much of a bonus did you get when I sold?’

Mulloy responded: ‘Not enough to make up for the Luka trade. I’d give your dirty $ back for Luka to be here, how about you?’

That sparked a viscous rant from Cuban, who added: ‘You didn’t say a word when it showed up in your account. Did you? Sure looked good when we made it to the finals, didn’t it?

‘I did every damn thing I could for 23 years. Kept prices lower than not only any NBA team, but lower than college teams too. I had $2 tickets for multiple years. When I sold there were always 4k tickets under $29. I made money 2 out of 23 years I was the majority owner. Lost hundreds of millions of dollars. And you kept on collecting your salary.

‘So my $dirty dollars didn’t get a peep out of you those 23 years. Or when you got your check every two weeks. Or when you got your bonus. Go back to what I said when I sold the team. I didn’t want my kids and family to have to deal with people like you. I honestly got tired of the growing number of fans who became pricks on social media. People exactly like you.

‘I paid your salary. I paid your bonus I didn’t have to give you. The[n] Nico and the new owners do something none of us liked and you decide to try to f–k with me. Thank you for confirming I made the right decision.’

The 66-year-old businessman sold a majority ownership of the Mavericks for $3.5 billion to the Adelson family in December 2023.

Cuban still holds a 27 percent stake in the team but was critical of the organization’s deal involving Doncic and the Lakers.

Dallas received Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round pick to send one of the NBA’s best to a Western Conference rival.

‘If the Mavs are going to trade Luka, that’s one thing, just get a better deal,’ Cuban told WFAA. ‘I still firmly believe if we had gotten four unprotected number ones and Anthony Davis and Max Christie, this would be a different conversation.’

His former team’s trade market dealings aren’t the only thing Cuban has taken issue with in recent months.

Cuban, who became embroiled in a bitter tiff with the president over their golf games last October, has been highly critical of Trump.

The entrepreneur campaigned for Kamala Harris in the buildup to her ultimate defeat at the ballot box last November and took aim at Trump’s inner circle.

‘Donald Trump – you never see him around strong, intelligent women, ever. It’s just that simple,’ Cuban said on The View last November.

‘It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them,’ Cuban added.

Trump’s campaign immediately seized on the remarks as evidence to back its claim that Democrats, including Harris, despise voters who support the former president.

In August of last year, the wealthy ‘shark’ made it clear that his support had shifted from Trump to Harris after ‘he got to know him,’ according to Business Insider.

‘I actually started off supporting Donald, and then I got to know him better,’ Cuban told Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Republican presidential candidate, during an interview last year.

‘I was like, he’s great – he’s not a typical Stepford candidate. I thought that was a positive,’ he added. ‘But then I got to know him.’

However, he was one of the first members of Camp Kamala to publicly concede defeat on election night, sending a message of congratulations to Trump by around 1:30am.
