After hosting former First Lady Michelle Obama on her podcast, Kylie Kelce is defending the decision to have her on the show.
Michelle appeared on Kylie’s ‘Not Gonna Lie’ show earlier in the week – in what proved to be an incredibly popular episode.
But when Kylie, the wife of Jason Kelce, posted the episode to her social media pages, some of her commenters let their political opinions of the woman married to President Barack Obama be known.
One user named Dana reacted to the post of the show with a throwing up emoji in the comments section.
Kylie saw it and chose to respond: ‘Hi Dana. We actually don’t do this here. If you have nothing nice to say just keep scrolling.’
On the show, Kylie had plenty of praise for the former First Lady.
Kylie Kelce took a swipe at the haters after having a major guest on her podcast recently
She went after a commenter who reacted negatively to an interview with Michelle Obama
‘I’m not going to lie, Mrs. Obama, this is a pretty surreal moment for me,’ Kylie said. ‘I have always been such a fan of the way you carry yourself.’
She continued, ‘At 18 was the first election that I was able to vote for your husband. But seeing you as a powerful figure alongside him as a partner was such an outstanding image of female empowerment.’
Michelle offered praise in return for the soon-to-be mother of four – who is expecting another daughter to join Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 2.
‘You’re doing it a fourth time. I just had to stop,’ Michelle told Kylie. ‘I was like, ‘I think I’ve been lucky with these two.’ Barack was like, ‘We should have a third,’ and I was like, ‘Dude.’
She continued, ‘I’m thinking, ‘We’re gonna get a crazy one. It’s just the roll of the dice.’ So, I admire your courage. You don’t know what you’re gonna get.’
This comes amid rumors of a potential rough spot in Michelle’s marriage to Barack after decades together.
Obama’s repeated public appearances without wife Michelle have led to divorce rumors
Michelle and Barack have been married for 32 years but have faced ongoing rumors about their marriage status over the last few months.
Obama was notably alone at Jimmy Carter’s state funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration, where Michelle broke tradition by declining to attend.
Recently, he was without her as he took a courtside seat for an NBA game in Los Angeles between the Clippers and the Detroit Pistons.
Instead of heading to the game with his wife, Obama joined Clippers owner Steve Ballmer – a former Microsoft CEO – and his wife, Connie Snyder.
Last October, actress Jennifer Aniston publicly shut down ‘absolutely untrue’ claims by a US gossip magazine that she and Barack were in a relationship – making Michelle feel ‘betrayed.’
The rumor was compounded by the hosts of a popular pop culture podcast Who? Weekly, who claimed that the Obamas were ‘living separate lives’ while he and Jennifer were having a full-blown affair.
