Brandon Graham retires from Eagles one month after Super Bowl 2025 win

Brandon Graham is calling it a career after 15 seasons with the Birds.

The legendary Eagles defensive end announced his NFL retirement on Tuesday roughly one month after winning his second Super Bowl with Philadelphia, a 40-22 triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs.

“My life has been forever changed because of this magical place,” an emotional Graham said at Tuesday’s press conference, where he expressed graтιтude to those within the organization.

“… You gave me the chance to be the player I always dreamed to be, but more than that, you helped shape me into the man I am today.”

A first-round pick out of Michigan in 2010, Graham — who was brought in by then-Eagles coach Andy Reid — was named Second-Team All-Pro in 2016 and became a Pro Bowler four years later.

The 36-year-old was part of the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning roster in 2017, when the team brought its first championship to Philadelphia after defeating New England in February 2018.

Graham’s road to Super Bowl 2025 was nearly derailed in November due to torn triceps.

He returned for the Super Bowl in New Orleans, where he became a two-time champion.

“One of our goals for the long run was just to get Brandon a Super Bowl,” Eagles tackle Jordan Mailata said in February.

“…  “The ultimate goal was to get it done, but to get it for Brandon, if this is his last year. For him to go out as a champion, that’s special. That’s something that we are going to remember. I just realized that was my last game with B.G.”

Graham appeared in 206 games for the Eagles, recording 329 solo tackles and 76.5 sacks across his career.

He concluded his message by thanking Eagles fans, calling them “the heartbeat” of Philadelphia.

“This game has changed my life, but more importantly, this city has changed my life,” Graham said. “It has given me a purpose far beyond football. It has shown me what it means to be a leader, to be a friend, to be a man of faith and have integrity. While my time on the field is coming to an end, my love for this team and city will never fade.”

Graham was the longest-tenured player in Eagles history.
