Chris Jones posted a cryptic message on X after news of his split with Sheawna Weathersby, who claimed the split happened due to the Kansas City Chiefs star’s infidelity.
Weathersby, who has been pictured alongside Taylor Swift at several Kansas City games in recent seasons, was in a relationship with the three-time Super Bowl-winning defensive tackle for nine years before parting ‘months ago’.
In the wake of the news, Jones took to X with a handwritten message for his followers.
‘It’s okay to disappear until you find yourself again,’ the picture read. ‘Sincerely, [snake emoji],’ he captioned.
Earlier this week, fans began to speculate that Jones and Weathersby had split after he shared a loved-up pH๏τo with another mystery woman – only identified as Giselle – on his Instagram story before quickly deleting it.
Giselle also posted a snap of her and Chris enjoying what looked like a romantic meal before removing the post. The pair both now appear to have deactivated their Instagram accounts.

And amid confusion over the state of their relationship, Weathersby has confirmed she and the NFL player – who share two children in Christopher Jones II, six, and Carson Dakota, two – are no longer together after accusing him of cheating in an astonishing statement.
She wrote on her Instagram story Thursday: ‘I’m choosing to focus on the positive as I close this chapter on a 9-year relationship. Unfortunately, Chris’ infidelity with the woman he’s recently been pictured with, led to my decision to end our relationship months ago.
Jones’ ex went on to allege that the girl in question has a history of ‘harᴀssment, stalking and disrespect’ towards her, even claiming she was forced to change her phone number as a result.
‘I’m proud to say I chose to prioritize my own wellbeing and healing journey,’ she added. ‘As I embark on this new chapter, I’m excited for the opportunities and growth that await me. I trust that God will transform the pain into something beautiful.’
In January, Jones suggested he and Weathersby were no longer together when he shared a meme on X that read: ‘I’m like 106% single’.

Jones had hinted that he and Weathersby had gone their separate ways earlier this year
Jones and Weathersby had formed a close relationship with his Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce and Swift, who had dated the latter for close to two years, before splitting in recent months.
Kelce and Swift even sent the couple some surprise Christmas gifts at the end of last year.
Weathersby took to Instagram to gush over multiple wrapped gifts under her Christmas tree, including a card that read, ‘Merry Christmas from Travis and Taylor.’
The defensive tackle is entering his tenth season with the Chiefs, with three Super Bowl тιтles.
This past season, Jones tallied 37 tackles and five sacks in 15 games for Kansas City.
