Superstar NFL quarterback Justin Herbert leaves fans stunned as he reveals bizarre new offseason hobby

While staying in football shape, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is raising baby chickens, which left his fans stunned as he revealed the new offseason hobby.

Raising baby chickens takes a lot of hard work and dedication, with the mindset of an NFL quarterback a good thing to cultivating a coop.

Herbert revealed the hobby on Thursday night with a picture on his Instagram story of several of his chickens under a lamp for warmth.

‘Welcome to the crew!’ Herbert said in the post.

Herbert has as locked-down a spot of a starting quarterback as there is in the NFL, yet he has yet to have much postseason success in his tenure with the Chargers.

In his first season under Jim Harbaugh, Herbert led Los Angeles to a 11-6 regular-season record. Yet, the team fell in the Wild Card round to the Houston Texans.

Herbert has yet to win a playoff game as an NFL starter after being drafted by the Chargers sixth overall in 2020.

The Oregon alumnus only has two playoff appearances, in part due to a quarterback-heavy AFC with Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and others.

How raising baby chickens will help with Herbert’s desire to take the next step in his NFL career is unclear. Having one of the best coaches of the century leading your team surely is an advantage.

Herbert appears far along in the process of raising his baby chickens due to the sophisticated setup of their living area.

Herbert’s last Instagram post has him promoting men’s deodorant and shampoo brand Dr. Squatch, showing off their new body wash scents.

The 27-year-old had not shown a fondness for animals on his social media before Thursday’s post, with most of his content revolving, understandably, around football.
