Ice Princess is a family-friendly sports drama directed by Tim Fywell. The film tells the story of Casey Carlyle (played by Michelle Trachtenberg), a high school student who is pᴀssionate about physics but has a secret love for figure skating. She dreams of becoming a compeтιтive figure skater, but her strict mother (played by Joan Cusack) wants her to focus on her academic future instead.
When Casey decides to pursue skating seriously, she begins training with a former skating champion named Tina Harwood (played by Kim Cattrall). As she trains harder, Casey faces the challenges of balancing school, family expectations, and her desire to succeed in the world of figure skating. Along the way, she also develops a close bond with Tina’s daughter, Gen (played by Hayden Panettiere), who is a talented skater herself.
With hard work and determination, Casey finds herself moving closer to her dream of becoming a professional figure skater. However, she must ultimately decide what matters most to her—her family’s approval or following her own dreams.
