Ravens signing wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to bolster offense

The Ravens are giving star quarterback Lamar Jackson another weapon.

Baltimore is bringing in former Chiefs wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on a one-year deal that could be worth up to $6 million, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday night.

The deal comes with a $5 million value that includes an extra $1 million of incentives, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

This will be Hopkins’ third team in the past two years after he played the first seven years of his NFL career with the Texans.

Hopkins, 32, started last season with the тιтans before he was traded to the Chiefs in the middle of the year.

He recorded 437 receiving yards and four touchdowns in the 10 games after the тιтans dealt Hopkins at the ᴅᴇᴀᴅline.

Hopkins had two catches and a touchdown during the Super Bowl for the Chiefs, who ultimately fell to the Eagles.

The three-time AP first-team All-Pro finished with over 1,000 receiving yards seven times during his career, including three consecutive seasons from 2018 to 2020.

He had been a No. 27 overall pick during the 2013 NFL Draft.

The addition of Hopkins adds to a wide receiver group that already includes Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman and reunites him with former тιтans teammate running back Derrick Henry.

Hopkins heads to a Ravens team that is coming off a 12-5 season and was knocked out in the divisional round of the playoffs.
