Mᴀssive Jets bust Haason Reddick gets $14 million from Buccaneers in NFL free agency

See ya, Haason Reddick, the Jets barely knew ya.

The Jets bust — who spent one holdout-marred season with the team last year — is signing with the Buccaneers on a one-year deal worth $14 million, according to ESPN.

The Jets acquired Reddick, 30, last offseason from the Eagles in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick, expecting the defensive end to be a key piece on their defense and help replace the production lost by Bryce Huff.

They had inherited the final season of the three-year, $45 million contract he previously signed with the Eagles.

But Reddick subsequently demanded a new, long-term deal with the Jets and held out of mandatory minicamp, training camp, the preseason and the first seven games of the regular season, forfeiting $5.5 million of his base salary.

Including fines, he lost approximately $7 million with his holdout.

His holdout was an utter failure, as he eventually agreed to play on his original contract — though the Jets added about $5.3 million in incentives to help him recoup money lost by fines.

Reddick only reached one of those incentives, however, earning a $791,000 bonus for playing time.

And he barely made any impact once he was on the field, recording one sack, 14 total tackles and three quarterback hits in 10 games.

It was a far cry from his previous production, recording at least 11 sacks in each of his prior four seasons.

And now, he again failed to earn the long-term deal he was seeking.

He joins a Buccaneers defense that recorded 46 sacks last year — seventh-most in the league.
