Ravens re-sign Ronnie Stanley before top offensive lineman hit NFL free agency

Ronnie Stanley is staying put this offseason.

Just days before the NFL’s free agency negotiation period, the Ravens locked up Stanley for the near future.

The top offensive lineman signed a three-year deal with Baltimore on Saturday worth $60 million with $44 million guaranteed at signing, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

The left tackle’s new contract averages out to $20 million, which is tied for eighth-most at his position.

Stanley, 30, was expected to draw strong interest from numerous teams in the open market.

The two-time Pro-Bowler has been a member of the Ravens for nine seasons, with the team drafting him in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft.

Stanley’s best year came in 2019, where he became Baltimore’s first left tackle to reach an All-Pro team since Hall of Famer Jonathan Ogden.

The offensive lineman suffered a left ankle injury during the 2020 season, which saw him miss nearly the entire following season.

In the years following his injury, Stanley has missed 36 games because of ankle, knee, and shoulder injuries.

The Notre Dame alum is coming off his best season since his injury, playing in every game last year for the first time in his career.

Stanley also had the 12th in pᴀss block win rate among tackles last season while blocking for Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.

Stanley took a 50% pay cut last season to stay with the Ravens following a down year in 2023, where he had a career-high in penalties.

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta and head coach John Harbaugh said at the NFL combine last month they were hopeful they could re-sign Stanley, according to ESPN.

With Stanley’s signing on Saturday, the Ravens have now returned four starters on their offensive line from last season, in which Baltimore boasted the No. 1-ranked offense.
