Internet sports personality and Lions superfan Andy Isaac ᴅᴇᴀᴅ at 45 after 19-year cancer battle

Beloved internet sports personality and Lions superfan Andy Isaac died Thursday morning, his family announced on his popular X account, @WorldOfIsaac, roughly two weeks after he revealed he was entering hospice care following a 19-year battle with cancer.

He was 45, according to The Detroit News.

“Good morning. Andy pᴀssed away peacefully this morning beside his loving family. We thank you all for your support and love over the years. This was a genuine space of laughter and kindness. Please carry this spirit on in honor of Andy. As always, Faturday forever and FTB,” Isaac’s family wrote.

Isaac had previously posted a heartbreaking message that his 19-year battle with cancer was getting the best of him and his quality of life had begun suffering.

“Having cancer since 2006 has finally taken its toll on me,” Isaac said in his final message posted on Feb. 18. “It has finally stripped me of quality of life. Life has been a struggle these last few months and years. I hope I can find some peace in hospice. I may keep a journal of my final days. I’m not sure yet. I’m tired, and I’m in pain. I have a horrible foot infection that is preventing me from walking, and I just don’t have the strength to do all the last-minute things I want. But I’ll try.

Isaac had previously said in an interview with The Athletic that he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2006.

Many on the internet offered the condolences and remembers Isaac as a friend.
