New mic'd up footage from Super Bowl shows Jalen Hurts wanted to humiliate Chiefs

Jalen Hurts wanted to bury the Kansas City Chiefs deeper than they already had as the Philadelphia Eagles steamrolled Patrick Mahomes and Co. at the Super Bowl.

A new mic ‘d-up footage from the Eagles YouTube channel showed the Philadelphia quarterback wanting to stay in the game as his team wiped the floor with the Chiefs in a 40-22 masterclass.

With the lead cemented and the тιтle secured, coach Nick Sirianni took his starters out of the field. However, Hurts remained keen to stay on until the final whistle.

‘Are you sure?’ Hurts asked Sirianni. ‘We’re done?’

‘Yeah, I’m f***ing sure,’ the coach replied. ‘Love you, man. Way to f***ing play, baby.’

Hurts then walked up to the Eagles bench where star running back Saquon Barkley was seated with wide receivers Parris Campbell, DeVonta Smith, and AJ Brown.

‘If I had Philly, I would have let that s*** ride,’ he declared to his teammates.

‘We up 40-something points, bruh, come on,’ Barkley said to which Hurts replied, ‘I know, bro. But I mean we killing.’

Smith could then be heard asking Hurts ‘Kick them when they’re down huh?’

In his fifth season with the Birds, Hurts completed 248 of 361 pᴀsses in 15 games. He also clocked in 2,903 yards and pᴀssed for 18 touchdowns while rushing for 14.

Hurts led the well-rounded team into a 14-3 record before besting the Packers, Rams, and Commanders to secure a date with the Chiefs.

The icing on the cake came in their win over Kansas City in the season finale in New Orleans. Hurts completed 17 of 22 pᴀsses for 221 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed to the end zone once.
