New stunning footage from the construction site of the Tennessee тιтans $2.1billion Nissan Stadium has emerged, as the Nashville cathedral is slated to be completed for the 2027 season. 

The current Nissan Stadium is next to where the construction site is and gives the тιтans a state-of-the-art facility in line with some of the other shiny projects in the NFL. 

Renderings show the domed completed version on the banks of the Cumberland River equipped for sold-out football games, combat-sports events, and concerts. 

The new stadium has been in the works since 2022, when renovations were permanently paused where the тιтans currently play.  

The stadium was opened in 1999 to be the home for the тιтans after the Houston Oilers relocated to Nashville.

Nashville-area resident Taylor Swift has stated her preference to play the Super Bowl halftime show would be in the Music City, with the new Nissan Stadium being one step closer to making that dream happen.

Nashville has never hosted the Super Bowl before as the NFL has gone to bigger markets and domed stadiums for its biggest day of the year. 

Even if some would be upset that a country-music act would not be chosen for the halftime show of the biggest football game to take place in the same town as the Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium, there is no denying the star power of Swift. 

With Swift’s recent ties to the NFL, there is no doubt it is a matter of when, not if, she is the halftime-show headliner. 

Concerts have frequented Nissan Stadium for years with Swift herself selling out three shows at the venue in 2023. Garth Brooks, the Red H๏τ Chili Peppers, and many others have played huge shows at the soon-to-be-former тιтans venue. 

WWE also hosted SummerSlam in 2022 at the venue, with a domed Nashville stadium a prime contender to host WrestleMania down the line. 

The renderings also show a country-music band performing near the entranceway of the stadium on a game day.  

The тιтans currently hold the No 1 overall pick in next month’s NFL Draft. The team’s leadership is hoping by the time the stadium opens, Tennessee’s fortunes have turned around.
