Travis Kelce channels ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ to confirm Chiefs return

Travis Kelce is hungry like the wolf.

After Pat McAfee revealed Thursday that Kelce texted him that he would be returning to the Chiefs for the 2025 season, the Chiefs star тιԍнт end — through his “New Heights” podcast X and Instagram accounts — confirmed the news.

In a video of a scene from the film “The Wolf of Wall Street,” Kelce’s head was edited onto Leonardo DiCaprio’s head where his character utters the iconic “I’m not f–king leaving!” line, much to the approval of the crowd around him.

The video also featured the heads of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, coach Andy Reid and owner Clark Hunt all smiling after the announcement.

The post on X also included the caption: “From the desk of @tkelce: ITS TIME FOR YEAR 13,” before teasing a “full breakdown” of his decision on next week’s episode of the podcast.

Throughout the year, and particularly in the days before and after the Super Bowl, there was plenty of speculation about the 35-year-old Kelce’s future.

The 10-time Pro Bowler and three-time Super Bowl champion ended all the drama on Thursday with the news that he was indeed running it back for another season in Kansas City.

McAfee read a text from Kelce on the air during his eponymous ESPN program on Thursday afternoon.

“I’m coming back, for sure,” Kelce told McAfee. “Gonna try and get to the best shape I’ve been this offseason and get back to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that!!!!”

Kelce’s Chiefs failed to accomplish an unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat when they were manhandled by the Eagles.

He was held without a catch in the first half and finished with four grabs and 39 yards.

But now, he’ll get at least one more opportunity with Mahomes to return to Super Bowl glory.
