Rob Gronkowski responds to report he’s coming out of retirement

Rob Gronkowski won’t be un-retiring for the second time.

The future NFL Hall of Fame тιԍнт end debunked the rumor circulating Tuesday that he had interest in returning to the NFL and the Broncos being high on his list.

“Crazy bro. They must know something about me that I don’t,” Gronkowski told Fox Sports about the report. “I wish I still had those powers, because that would be cool if I did. But I was just in Australia for a few days. Now it’s time to relax a little. No football.”

Gronkowski has settled quite nicely into his post-playing life, but he’s already shown that he’d be willing to return after a layoff.

The 35-year-old once faked a potential retirement to derail a potential trade to the Lions prior to the 2018 season. He ultimately stayed with New England.

Gronkowski retired after that season, but it did not last long with the four-time Super Bowl champion returning to join Tom Brady with the Buccaneers in 2020.

He played two seasons in Tampa, winning a Super Bowl in the first campaign, before hanging up the boots after the 2021 season.

This latest report from Denversports.com said Gronkowski is “considering” a return, and cited his relationship with Broncos head coach Sean Payton from their time at Fox.

The report also said he “loves Denver” and rookie quarterback Bo Nix, while noting how his brothers Chris and Dan had played for the franchise.

There will no Mile High spike, though, with Gronkowski comfortable to continue his media career, which includes a role on the “Fox NFL Sunday” show, plenty of commercials and even some films.

Gronkowski recently discussed with The Post how his longtime girlfriend Camille Kostek has helped him make the transition from athlete to media personality.

“There has been a lot of success in that decade and it just keeps continuing,” Gronkowski said. “And I wouldn’t be where I am without her right now. So gotta ask her how she got me to this point because she can only explain it to the best, how she got the best out of me. She’s got a funny story behind that.

“But cheers to that over the last decade. We’re going to keep continuing that success and just keep working together. We help each other out, we get together and share each other’s schedules and we manage it with perfection, especially sharing a dog as well, which is the joy of our lives, too.”
