Steve Smith Sr. has been married to his childhood sweetheart wife Angie since 2000, after the pair met while studying together at the University of Utah.
They tied the knot while still at college, and have been together ever since, with Angie by his side throughout his time in the NFL and his post-playing days on TV.
The pair have four children together: Peyton, Baylee, Boston and Steve Jr, and the family-of-six recently posed together for an adorable Christmas pH๏τo posted to Instagram.
Smith Sr has regularly spoken about his love for his family, even claiming that the ‘most important thing he did’ in his football career was to ‘make sure that my kids don’t need to play sports in order to attend college’.
He added: ‘They don’t need to run, jump, catch or flip.’
Smith Sr himself certainly did a lot of running, jumping and catching in his own career, in which he became a five-time Pro Bowler and an inductee in the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame.
Now an analyst for NFL Network, Steve Smith spent years with the Panthers and Ravens

He began his career with the Panthers in 2001, playing 13 seasons in Carolina before ending his career with three years in Baltimore.
He is still loved in Baltimore now, even recently surprising fans by taking charge of the Ravens’ Marching Band ahead of a game against the Bills last September.
After his playing career came to an end, Smith Sr moved into TV work, where he has worked as an analyst for NFL Network, where he remains to this day.
He signed his first TV deal just a month after retiring from the NFL, and has also been part of the Carolina Panthers’ own in-house TV team.
He also hosts a podcast – Cut To It – where he gives his takes on all things sports.
