Live like his Royal Airness! Rent Michael Jordan’s old $10M mansion.

Basketball fans with deep pockets can rent Michael Jordan’s stunning former mansion during March Madness for a hefty price – just two months since he finally cashed in on it.

After being left derelict while languishing on the market for 12 years, Jordan’s 32,000-square-foot property in Highland Park, Illinois was sold for a dramatically reduced fee back in December.

The Chicago Bulls legend was forced to slash the price from $29million to just $9.5million in order to make a sale to John Cooper, a real estate partner from Lincoln, Nebraska.

And shortly after buying it, Cooper has turned Jordan’s former mansion – now rebranded as ‘Champions Point’ – into an expensive rental for fans to enjoy throughout the month of March, according to Realtor.com.

For a staggering upfront fee of $230k, along with a $50k refundable deposit, tenants will receive full access to the six-time NBA champion’s old home.

The 32,000-square-foot and seven-acre property, built in 1995, still boasts a regulation-size indoor basketball court, along with a state-of-the-art gym and an outdoor infinity pool.

Other amenities include nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a cigar room, library, tennis court, and an iconic front gate with the number 23 emblazoned across its front.

‘A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rent this gated, world-class estate, meticulously designed for those who live and breathe sports,’ the rental listing reads.

After promising to announce ‘exciting plans’ for the property, Cooper revealed last month that he is also offering $1m time shares at Jordan’s former pad that would allow co-owners one week of access every year.

‘Our goal is to create a shared experience where co-owners can enjoy unparalleled amenities and also the sense of connection and community that comes with it,’ he said in a press release.

‘By preserving the property’s original prestige while integrating modern technology, we’re ensuring that Champions Point continues to be a place where extraordinary memories are made for years to come.’

After taking it off Jordan’s hands, Cooper has teased his million-dollar-share reveal but insisted that he planned to ‘honor the property’s legacy’.

‘This place is great just the way it is,’ he stressed.

Jordan has primarily lived in his native North Carolina in retirement, although he has regularly been spotted on luxury European getaways with his wife, Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto, in recent years.
