Jason Kelce reveals huge change in brother Travis amid Taylor Swift romance

Jason Kelce has noticed a significant change in little brother Travis since he started dating Taylor Swift – he’s finally growing up.

During an appearance on the Fitz & Whit podcast this week, Jason, 37, compared Travis to ‘Peter Pan’ after claiming his 35-year-old sibling is very much young at heart.

However, he believes that is now beginning to change amid his high-profile romance with Swift.

‘One of the things I love so much about Travis is he never grew up,’ Jason initially said about the Kansas City Chiefs тιԍнт end.

When asked if Travis is now starting to grow up, he then appeared to reference Taylor by saying: ‘For sure, it’s changing. I think that sometimes you get people in your life that maybe get that out of you, and that’s a good thing.

‘Trav, he is growing up. He’s still though got that youthful enthusiasm. It’s just part of his personality.’

Travis’ high-profile romance with Taylor has dominated headlines ever since the pop megastar attended one of his NFL games for the first time back in September 2023.

Over the past 18 months, their relationship has continued to go from strength to strength, with Swift’s die-hard fans desperate to see them get engaged and start a family together.

And Jason has certainly spotted a newfound maturity in Travis, revealing how his brother has even started splashing the cash on luxury furniture in his mid-30s.

‘He had these couches, they were like green velvet… over the top couches. I’m not gonna say the dollar amount,’ the Philadelphia Eagles legend recalled. ‘He said it’s an investment. “It’s art Jason.”

‘I came back maybe six months after that and one of the couches was pushed up against the wall. I said, “Why’d you move the couch?” He pulls the couch back… he’d just got a puppy and the puppy had chewed a hole in it.’

Jason’s comments on Travis ‘growing up’ come amid uncertainty over the latter’s future in the NFL.

Following the Chiefs’ defeat to the Eagles at the Super Bowl earlier this month, Kelce revealed he is contemplating retirement as he weighs up whether the time has come to bow out from football.

Speaking with Jason on their New Heights podcast last week, Travis sounded more out than in but admitted he was everything but certain when deciding if his playing days were done.

‘I know everybody wants to know whether or not I’m playing next year, and right now I’m just kicking everything down the road. I’m kicking every can I can down the road,’ he said.

‘I’m not making any crazy decisions [yet]. Right now the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches, understanding there’s a lot that goes into this thing.’

He continued: ‘The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and these Super Bowls, that means I’m playing an extra three games than everybody else in the entire league.

‘That’s a lot of wear and tear on your body and it’s a lot of time spent in the building, focusing on your craft, focusing on the task at hand, every challenge that you set up for yourself. That process can be grueling, it can weigh on you.

‘It can make you better [but] it can drive you crazy at the same time, and right now it’s one of those things where it was kind of driving me crazy this year.’
