Lamar Jackson looks unrecognizable as Ravens QB unveils shock new hairstyle

Lamar Jackson shocked fans with a new hairstyle on Tuesday as he ditched his braids for a new look.

The quarterback has mostly worn braids in the NFL since being drafted by the Ravens in 2018, while he has also sported an afro on several occasions.

But the pᴀsser looked dramatically different this week when he shared a picture of himself sitting in a barber’s chair, with his hair straightened and sitting about shoulder-length.

It’s not clear if the pH๏τo shared by Jackson was the finished product or merely mid-haircut, but fans had some humorous reactions to the picture.

Several on X compared him to Katt Williams, while Jackson himself seemed to be emulating rapper Snoop Dogg.

The quarterback captioned his Instagram story ‘Bones,’ the name of the 2001 movie in which the famous music artist sported long, straightened hair as well.

Others likened Jackson to ’emo Jimmy’ Butler, a reference to when the basketball player showed up to the Miami Heat’s 2023 media day with a rocker-esque, straightened hair look.

And several hilariously compared the hairstyle to Terry Crews’ ‘President Camacho’ character in the 2006 comedy ‘Idiocracy.’

Jackson is about a month removed from his Ravens suffering a heartbreaking 27-25 loss to the Bills in the AFC divisional round.

The two-time MVP then saw Josh Allen get the better of him again as the Buffalo quarterback pipped him to the award at the NFL Honors ahead of the Super Bowl.

Jackson is a ridiculous 70-24 as a starter, but Ravens fans will hope it finally translates to postseason success in 2025.
