NFL verdict on Travis Kelce Super Bowl fine revealed after Chiefs star clashed with Eagles rivals

Travis Kelce has avoided a fine from the NFL for taunting in the Super Bowl in a move that threatened to add insult to injury after the Kansas City Chiefs were humiliated by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kelce was seen squaring up to Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis and appeared to push him in a viral clip from the game in New Orleans that threatened to hit him in the pocket.

He was also seen in another animated confrontation with Jalen Carter. But the Chiefs тιԍнт end – who has been fined twice by the NFL in recent weeks for his conduct – has avoided being sanctioned this time.

Kelce, 35, was fined $11,255 for feuding with Damar Hamlin when the Chiefs beat the Bills in the AFC Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium.

In scenes not too different from the clash with Davis in the Super Bowl, Kelce followed Patrick Mahomes into the end zone and after the quarterback scored a touchdown, Kelce got in the face of Hamlin as part of his celebration.

Kelce then got headʙuттed for his troubles by Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, who barged in and made sure Kelce knew exactly what he thought about the тιԍнт end’s celebration.

Travis Kelce has avoided a fine despite some angry moments in the Super Bowl last week

Before that, Kelce was fined $14,069 for celebrating his record-setting Chiefs touchdown on Christmas Day against Pittsburgh Steelers by dunking the ball over the goal post.

Kelce’s celebration was a tribute to Tony Gonzalez, the man whose tally of 76 touchdowns he eclipsed with the 77th TD of his Chiefs career in the game.

Elsewhere from the Super Bowl, star Eagles defensive tackle Carter escaped punishment despite making clear contact with the head of Patrick Mahomes.

Two other Eagles players did get fined, though. Defensive tackle Milton Williams was one, fined $14,06 for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Williams forced a fumble and a turnover when he sacked Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes with roughly 10 minutes to play. He took the football spiked it over the crossbar in the end zone.

Teammate Jalyx Hunt, an outside linebacker, was bizarrely fined $5,690 for celebrating sacking Mahomes with a bow-and-arrow gesture that the League described as a ‘violent gesture’.

Kelce, meanwhile, is considering his future in the game in the wake of the crushing loss.

‘I know everybody wants to know whether or not I’m playing next year, and right now I’m just kicking everything down the road. I’m kicking every can I can down the road,’ he said on his New Heights podcast with older brother Jason.

‘I’m not making any crazy decisions [yet]. Right now the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches, understanding there’s a lot that goes into this thing.

‘The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and these Super Bowls, that means I’m playing an extra three games than everybody else in the entire league,’ he explained.

‘That’s a lot of wear and tear on your body and it’s a lot of time spent in the building, focusing on your craft, focusing on the task at hand, every challenge that you set up for yourself. That process can be grueling, it can weigh on you.’
