Shocking reason why 49ers star Brandon Aiyuk was pulled over by cops after buying new $90,000 Jeep

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was stopped by a police officer just moments after the pᴀss catcher bought himself a new vehicle.

Aiyuk recently purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk – valued at or around $90,000 – and he filmed himself as he took the car out for a spin.

But the receiver didn’t even get two miles down the road before a police officer pulled him over for believing the car was stolen.

As the wide receiver pulled to a stop, he couldn’t believe what had happened: ‘Bro I got this [car] at 53 miles and got pulled over at 55 miles. I can’t make this up.’

The officer said he pulled Aiyuk over because this specific model of vehicle is frequently stolen.

The officer also mentioned a time when Aiyuk was pulled over in California for driving an unregistered Dodge Charger – with the wideout saying that was also a case of driving a brand-new car.

When Aiyuk said that the car wasn’t stolen because he’s not someone ‘who needs to steal cars’, the officer replied, ‘I don’t know that, I don’t know you, I don’t watch football.’

Aiyuk replied, ‘You don’t have to watch football… nothing says I’m stealing cars.’

Regardless, the officer said the situation looked suspicious and he decided to continue to investigate.

Eventually, the officer determined that Aiyuk had indeed purchased the car legally and let him go.

Aiyuk appeared to have no hard feelings for the officer, who allowed the star to gun the engine so he could hear how it sounded as he drove off.

The Niners picked Aiyuk 25th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft and has been one of the team’s top stars ever since.

He posted back-to-back seasons of over 1,000 yards receiving in 2022 and in 2023.

However, right after signing a four-year, $120m contract extension last August, the receiver tore his ACL and MCL in a game in Week 7. He missed the rest of the season and his total on the year was just 25 catches for 374 yards.
