Buffalo Bills star James Cook makes shock contract demand on Instagram livestream

Running back James Cook named his price for the Buffalo Bills on an Instagram stream.

Ahead of his fourth season in the NFL and with the Bills, Cook is eligible for an extension this offseason after helping the Bills reach the AFC тιтle game where they lost to Kansas City.

On Wednesday, the 25-year-old flashed his price tag for his upcoming contract renewal on Instagram Live.

’15 mil year’ he wrote in a pinned comment, alluding to an annual salary of $15million.

Cook played collegiately at the University of Georgia and was selected by Buffalo in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. While his rookie contract has him making $5.2m a year, the Bills will have to up his number to keep him in Upstate New York.

After scoring single digits in his first two seasons, Cook had a breakthrough this past campaign.

As a rookie, he rushed for two and received one touchdown. In his sophomore season, Cook rushed for two and caught four.

His third season proved to be the charm as Cook received for 16 and ran for two scores to help the Bills find success.

Furthermore, Cook led the Bills in rushing yards with 272 and fell just behind placekicker Tyler Bᴀss in scoring.

The Bills finished their season with a 13-4 record on top of the AFC East. They routed the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs before falling to Kansas City.

Sportrac estimates Cook’s market value to be $ 10.2m per year – a hefty six million below the price he threw out.

Other players eligible for contract extensions include cornerback Christian Benford, wide receiver Khalil Shakir, linebacker Terrel Bernard, and edge Greg Rousseau.
