Taylor Swift was seen tucking into a burger and fries on her controversial date night with Travis Kelce and the Mahomes’ in New Orleans last week.
Less than 48 hours before the Chiefs lined up in their third straight Super Bowl, Travis and longtime teammate Patrick Mahomes headed out on a double date with respective partners Taylor and Brittany Friday night.
Their trip to luxury French restaurant Lilette sparked controversy given how close it was to Sunday’s championship game, which Kansas City eventually lost 40-22 as they missed out on a famous three-peat.
Two nights beforehand the group were seen entering and leaving the popular spot on Magazine Street, where a large crowd of fans had gathered to catch a glimpse of them late on Friday evening.
While it is unclear what the rest of them enjoyed, Swift surprisingly opted for a Kobe beef burger and fries from the menu, a source told DailyMail.com.
The pop megastar was reportedly ‘super chatty’ and in an ‘amazing and fun mood’ at the restaurant, as were the whole party.

All four of them were said to be in a ‘tremendously good mood’ as they dined at the restaurant while ‘anticipating a different outcome and result in the game’.

Nevertheless, even their waitress was left shocked by the fact Travis and Patrick were out so close to the Super Bowl.
In years gone by, players involved in the showpiece have usually received strict curfews in the days leading up to the game.
A beaming Taylor, wearing a black dress and matching Eleonor boots courtesy of shoe designers Larroude, was seen making her way out of the venue hand-in-hand with Kelce, who had a grey tracksuit on.
The Chiefs legend’s longtime teammate Mahomes was also seen leaving with wife Brittany just moments after their good friends in a clip which surfaced online.
Patrick, wearing an all-black outfit with a white cap, was led down stairs and into a nearby taxi by security alongside Brittany, who went full Chiefs mode in a long red coat and matching boots for the double date.
A large group of fans who had gathered outside the restaurant cheered as the quartet made their way out while flanked by security.
While there was no suggestion they broke any rules by heading out on a pre-Super Bowl double date, Travis and Patrick’s appearance was still a surprise given that it is so close to the game.

The pair then went on to suffer off-nights in a conclusive defeat for the Chiefs, with Mahomes throwing two interceptions while being sacked six times. Kelce, meanwhile, was largely anonymous after taking just four catches for 39 yards.
The latter admitted on Wednesday that he is now contemplating retirement, opening up on his ‘wear and tear’ on the latest episode of his and brother Jason’s New Heights podcast.
‘The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and these Super Bowls, that means I’m playing an extra three games than everybody else in the entire league,’ Kelce explained.
‘That’s a lot of wear and tear on your body and it’s a lot of time spent in the building, focusing on your craft, focusing on the task at hand, every challenge that you set up for yourself. That process can be grueling, it can weigh on you.
‘It can make you better [but] it can drive you crazy at the same time, and right now it’s one of those things where it was kind of driving me crazy this year. It happens when you kind of tail off towards the back nine of your career.
The 35-year-old revealed on Wednesday that he is contemplating retirement after the loss
‘When you feel yourself not have the success that you used to have, it’s a tough pill to swallow.
‘And then on top of that to not be there in the biggest moments, knowing your team’s counting on you man… it’s just a tough reality.’
‘I’m gonna take some time to figure it out,’ he continued. ‘And I think I owe it to my teammates that if I do come back that it’s gonna be a wholehearted decision and I’m not half-a**ing it, and I’m fully here for them.
‘I think I can play, it’s just whether or not I’m motivated or it’s the best decision for me as a man, as a human, as a person to take on all that responsibility.’
