Lake Placid (1999)

Lake Placid (1999), directed by Steve Miner and written by David E. Kelly, is a horror-comedy that centers on a mᴀssive, man-eating crocodile terrorizing a small town in Maine. The peaceful, remote town of Lake Placid becomes the setting for a series of mysterious deaths and disappearances around the lake. The authorities quickly realize that the cause of these incidents is a giant crocodile, likely introduced illegally into the water. This ᴅᴇᴀᴅly creature is not only unusually large but also intelligent, capable of hunting both in the water and on land, creating a dangerous situation for anyone in its vicinity.
