From 2000 to 2005, Luo further honed her sculptural skills at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing, studying under Sun Jiabo. In 2005, Luo moved to France, and a year later, she and her husband relocated to Belgium, where they lived until 2017. In 2018, Luo established the Luo Lirong Foundry in Bologna, Italy, marking a significant milestone in her career.

Luo Li Rong’s sculptural work is deeply influenced by Renaissance and Baroque techniques, an interest she developed while studying art in Beijing under the tutelage of sculptor Wang Du. This influence is evident in the life-like quality and grace of her figures, often women, captured in motion. Their poses are elegant, elongating their bodies, and Luo’s attention to detail in skin folds and garment drapery imbues them with a sense of vitality. The dresses and garments of her sculptures often appear windswept, creating a compelling dicH๏τomy between realism and a fantastical element. Luo’s characters frequently seem to reside on clouds or hold raindrops, adding a surreal touch to her work.
