Taylor Swift ‘comforting’ Travis Kelce after ‘very hard’ Super Bowl 2025 loss

Taylor Swift ‘comforting’ Travis Kelce after ‘very hard’ Super Bowl 2025 loss

While the Chiefs fell 40-22 to the Eagles in Super Bowl 2025, many expected a Kansas City three-peat victory in addition to the potential Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift lore that could follow.

Would he propose to Swift? Would he announce his retirement? Without a win, the world will now never know. But with the loss, Swift is said to be “comforting” Kelce after he posted just four catches and 39 yards in the blowout loss.

“Taylor knows Travis took this loss very hard but she couldn’t be more proud of him regardless of the outcome,” an insider told Page Six.

Swift was met with boos when the scoreboard at the Super Bowl in New Orleans showed her in attendance supporting Kelce and the Chiefs.

The Eagles’ lead ballooned over the course of the game behind their dominant defense, and Swift and the legendary тιԍнт end’s smiles were fading.

With Kelce’s season running as long as it could possibly go, and Swift just recently finally finishing her near-two-year Eras Tour, the couple is now focusing on their future.

“Taylor and Travis are going to take some time away to vacation with just the two of them, talk about their future and just relax,” the insider told Page Six.

Kelce’s NFL future is certainly up in the air, as a return to the gridiron in the fall would be the 35-year-old’s 13th season.

He’s seen a downturn in his production in the last two seasons, failing to top 1,000 receiving yards both years after reaching the mark in seven straight seasons before. Kelce’s 823 yards and three touchdowns this season were each the fewest in a season for his entire career aside from his rookie campaign in which he appeared in just one game.

When asked about his future after the Super Bowl loss, he quickly ended the questioning and left reporters with no answers. However, he did offer some insight at media day before the game.

“Where will I be in three years? I don’t know. Hopefully, still playing football,” Kelce said. “I love doing this. I love coming into work every day. I feel like I’ve still got a lot of good football left in me. We’ll see what happens.”

With media coverage of the superstar couple at an all-time high, Kelce and Swift “are looking forward to getting away from all the distractions and being by themselves.”
