Super Bowl novelty bets take huge spike in popularity... and you can even get odds on a Travis Kelce proposal to Taylor Swift

As the Super Bowl enters its second year with Taylor Swift in the crowd, novelty bets have seen an incredible rise in popularity, with everyone trying to find their ‘Wildest Dreams’ of interest.

The ones that will cash in on the non-traditional bets, like if Travis Kelce will propose to Taylor Swift after the game, are ones BetOnline and Bovada that are not regulated to operate in the United States.

In the states where sports betting is legal, there are strict rules to what sites like FanDuel can offer. Bets with definitive outcomes about the game is what those sites stick to.

The unconventional bets, like what Swift could be wearing, or the songs Kendrick Lamar would perform at halftime, are subject to insider information and could influence the market. It’s simple to say those are illegal.

Although limitations vary by state as to what can be bet on legal gambling operators do not want to miss out on Swift’s Midas touch. The American Gaming ᴀssociations believes a record $1.4billion with be wagered legally on this year’s Super Bowl, per Business Insider.

Other estimates believe that number could be even higher. And there is no doubt Swift’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs тιԍнт end Travis Kelce is the catalyst.

That does not mean there are creative ways for the legal gambling websites to find ways to include Swift.

DraftKings has a separate page for 30 Swift-themed bets, which are usual prop bets that are named after one of her songs.

‘Shake It Off’ pertains to the Eagles being the first team to score, ‘Mine’ has Kelce getting 87 or more receiving yards, with the mention of his jersey number, alongside one or more touchdowns.

‘I Knew You Were Trouble’  has a mᴀssive bet of Eagles running back Saquon Barkley getting 250 rushing and receiving yards.

Bet365 has a similar idea, including a prop that sees Kelce have 22 or more receiving yards in each half.

Non-US markets can offer sports bets that are a little less traditional, as the NFL’s championship game is expected to have a huge international audience.

Last year’s Super Bowl had a 24 percent increase in women viewers between the ages of 18 and 24, according to Nielsen data.

Those betting websites are putting money on that being the case again this year.
