EXCLUSIVEPatrick Mahomes’ controversial family splash the cash in tipsy New Orleans casino session ahead of Super Bowl

Patrick Mahomes’ controversial family were seen enjoying a boozy casino session in New Orleans a few days out from the Chiefs quarterback’s latest Super Bowl outing.

After making the trip to Louisiana to support his son, Patrick Mahomes Sr – who has been hit with multiple DWI charges in recent years – headed to a casino with wife Randi, 49, and their youngest boy Jackson, 24, on Thursday night.

The trio were spotted getting tipsy while playing $25 hands of Black Jack for close to two hours, with Mahomes Sr, 54, knocking back the drinks just a year on from his third DWI arrest.

The ex-major league pitcher was arrested for driving while intoxicated in 2008, 2019 and 2024, and last year received a ban from driving after being found on the roads without a valid license.

He spent 10 days in jail and is now under ‘intense supervision’ in the first of his five years of probation.

Mahomes’ dad is not the only member of the family to land themselves in trouble with the law of late, nevertheless.

In March last year, brother Jackson was also sentenced to six months’ probation after pleading guilty to battery of a waiter at a Kansas restaurant in February 2023.

In the case, more serious charges of aggravated Sєxual battery were dropped after the alleged victim – the owner of the restaurant – failed to cooperate and refused to testify in the case.

The woman later reported that she had endured death threats and had her restaurant vandalized. In August 2023, she closed the restaurant.

After leaving the casino on Thursday, Mahomes Sr opened up on the normality of watching Patrick – who is seeking a historic third straight Super Bowl on Sunday – play at the highest level of the sport.

When asked if there’s any nerves ahead of the Chiefs’ showdown with the Eagles, he said bluntly: ‘Not at this point. It is what it is. I’ve been watching him play since he was seven years old, so it’s not a big deal anymore.’

On the advice he’ll give to Patrick before the game, Mahomes Sr revealed: ‘The only thing I tell him is players make plays, which is something I’ve been telling him ever since he was in sixth grade.

‘So [he has to] just go out there and leave it all out on the field and if it turns out it turns out.’

Mahomes Sr last played baseball in 2003 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, but in recent times has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons following his string of arrests.

Earlier this week Dave Portnoy sensationally confirmed to DailyMail.com that the Chiefs quarterback’s father has signed a contract with Barstool Sports to fight ex-MLB star John Rocker at Rough N’ Rowdy.

His focus is currently on Sunday, nevertheless, when he will watch on from a private suite at the Superdome as Patrick and Kansas City bid to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls.

But he has no idea which A-list names will be sitting nearby in his box. ‘That’s not my concern, I’m just going to watch No. 15 play football.’
