Tom Brady reveals view on Chiefs refereeing conspiracy claims before Super Bowl showdown with Eagles

Despite being prohibited from criticizing NFL officials, Tom Brady insisted against conspiracy theories accusing the Kansas City Chiefs of getting a push from referees.

Over this past season, the defending Super Bowl champions have been the benefactors of questionable calls on their way to a third straight Super Bowl.

Ahead of the showdown between the Chiefs and Eagles in New Orleans, Brady joined Fox & Friends to preview the big game.

During his appearance, the seven-time Super Bowl champion debunked the theories about the Chiefs and the officials.

‘I think it’s just all BS. It’s just a bunch of noise,’ Brady said. ‘These refs have very challenging jobs to do. I’m very happy Twitter didn’t exist during the Tuck Rule Game in 2001, let me say that.

‘I would’ve been on the wrong end on a lot of those. But these refs are out there trying to do their very best,’ he continued.

‘They got to make decisions in a split second and they’re gonna call what they see and these guys are some of the most professional people on the field. They just want to do a good job like everyone else.

‘And look, sometimes the calls go your way, sometimes they don’t. In the end, throughout a 140-play game on both sides of the ball, the players have plenty of opportunities to go out there and make an impact in the game, winning or losing and that’s what I’m excited to see on Sunday night.’

Brady is wrapping up his first season calling games for Fox after signing a lucrative ten-year, $375million to be their lead NFL analyst.

Along with his analytic duties, Brady was given the green light on his bid to be a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. As a result, he was placed under a special set of restrictions, including criticizing officials.

Outside the booth, Brady has reportedly been heavily involved in the Raiders’ rebuild. After a 4-13 season, the team hired Pete Carroll as their head coach and John Spytek as their GM, both have links to the legendary quarterback.
