Super Bowl Fox TV producers reveal Taylor Swift coverage plans as she cheers Travis Kelce on at Super Bowl

The main men calling the sH๏τs behind Fox’s Super Bowl coverage have admitted they will not have a camera fixed on Taylor Swift at the Superdome for the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Richie Zyontz, the lead producer for Fox’s NFL coverage, and Rich Russo, the lead director, have spoken to The Athletic ahead of Sunday’s showdown between Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

Swift will be in the stands supporting boyfriend Travis Kelce as the Chiefs bid to become the first team to win three straight Super Bowl тιтles. So too will President Trump, who will become the first sitting President to attend a Super Bowl.

The attention on Swift at football since her and Kelce went public with their relationship in 2023 has been a major talking point.

Her presence has brought more eyes to the game through her avid fanbase but traditional NFL fans have disliked quite how often she is on the screen at Chiefs games.

Zyontz and Russo hinted they fall into that camp, with Zyontz calling himself ‘a dinosaur’ when it comes to Swift’s coverage. But that doesn’t mean she won’t be on the broadcast at all.

‘I’m a dinosaur by nature, but it would be foolish to think this isn’t a famous person whose presence makes the event that much larger,’ Zyontz said.

‘Russo and I are pretty much on the same page. When appropriate, you show her. I don’t think there’s an over-under on it.

‘We were the first crew that had her at a game. I think networks have kind of figured out not to overdo it lately. I

‘t is a Super Bowl, though, and Super Bowl is all about stars. So even a dinosaur has to give into that a little bit.’

Russo then explained that a camera will not be fixed on Swift in her suite for the game.

‘We do not have a specific camera that is designated towards Taylor Swift,’ he said.

‘Like Richie said, what we’ll do is when we find out where she’s sitting, I’ll make the determination as to which cameras are the best cameras to show her.

‘We’ll show her at the appropriate times because obviously this is an event. As I’ve said in the past, with Taylor Swift, with crowds, with owners, if you start showing Taylor Swift so many times, it loses the impact of the visual.

‘But if you see her at the right times, at the right moments, then I think you’re doing the viewer justice.’

It is unclear who Swift will be sat with for the game but one person who won’t be there is Blake Lively. There are suggestions that her friendship with Lively has cooled amid her ongoing legal dispute with Justin Baldoni.

It also emerged earlier on Friday that Swift has been planning a Chiefs WAGs party before the Super Bowl alongside Brittany Mahomes.

Meanwhile, reports have said that Kelce – alongside teammate Patrick Mahomes – has ordered $11,000-worth of cigars and spent another $200,000 on champagne for a party if they win.
