Travis Kelce wonât be listening to Kanye Westâs music to get hyped up before the Chiefsâ rematch with the Eagles in Super Bowl 2025.
During Wednesdayâs media session before the big game, the Chiefsâ All-Pro тιԍнт end was asked by a reporter about Westâs music and he didnât sound amused.
âI know youâre dating Taylor [Swift], but do you have any Kanye [West] on your hype playlist?â the reporter asked.
âNo,â Kelce, 35, said before turning his head and moving on to the next question.
The three-time Super Bowl champ did not elaborate further.
Swiftâs and Westâs feud stretches back to 2009 when the rapper ambushed the singerâs acceptance speech for Video of the Year at the 2009 MTV VMAs. He took the mic to declare that Beyonceâs video for âSingle Ladiesâ was âone of the greatest videos of all time.â
Since then, the musicians have publicly dropped jabs in their music among other things.
In 2016, West named Swift in his song âFamous,â which he said she consented to the lyrics â âI feel like me and Taylor might still have Sєx / Why? I made that bitch famousâ â via a phone call.
Kim Kardashian, Westâs wife at the time, posted video footage of the call on social media, which made it seem as though Swift agreed to the lyrics.
Swift addressed the situation in an interview with TIME magazine in December 2023 and explained she felt it was âa career deathâ at the time.
âYou have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,â Swift said in the interview.
âThat took me down psychologically to a place Iâve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didnât leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didnât trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.â
That interview was the first time Swift spoke publicly about her relationship with Kelce, confirming that the two began dating in the summer of 2023.
