The film begins in the present day, where treasure hunter Brock Lovett (Bill Paxton) and his team are searching the wreckage of the тιтanic for a valuable diamond known as the Heart of the Ocean. While exploring the wreck, they discover a drawing of a young woman wearing the diamond. This leads to the discovery of Rose Dawson Calvert (Gloria Stuart), an elderly woman who claims to be the one in the drawing.
Rose recounts her experience aboard the тιтanic in 1912, as a young woman (played by Kate Winslet) traveling with her wealthy fiancé Cal Hockley (Billy Zane) and her overbearing mother Ruth (Frances Fisher). Rose feels trapped in her privileged life, and when she meets Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio), a free-spirited artist from a poor background, the two form a pᴀssionate and forbidden romance.
As the тιтanic sails toward its tragic fate, Rose and Jack’s love story unfolds amid the backdrop of the ship’s luxurious atmosphere and the looming disaster.
When the ship strikes an iceberg, the story shifts to a tense and heart-wrenching struggle for survival as the pᴀssengers face the inevitable sinking. Rose and Jack must fight to stay together, facing both the physical and emotional challenges brought on by the sinking of the тιтanic.
