NFL legend Andre Reed claims Chiefs rivals 'have to beat NFL refs and Taylor Swift' to win in Kansas City

NFL Hall of Famer Andre Reed has claimed that teams headed to Kansas City have to overcome the referees and Taylor Swift in order to beat the Chiefs.

Reed was part of the Buffalo Bills team that reached – and lost – four consecutive Super Bowls between 1990 and 1993.

This year, the current Bills team led by Josh Allen fell one step short of the Super Bowl after they were beaten by the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.

It was yet another close game won by Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Co, with Kansas City triumphing 32-29 at Arrowhead Stadium.

The result prompted more accusations that NFL referees favor Kansas City, while Swift and Kelce celebrated with a kiss on the field.

‘A lot of Chiefs are going to tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about. That might be the case. But when you go into Kansas City, you gotta beat a lot of people,’ Reed said on ‘The Jim Rome Show’.

‘You gotta beat the team, you gotta beat the fans, you gotta beat the refs, you gotta beat Taylor Swift. You gotta beat everybody.

‘If you just go out there and throw that all out the window and beat Kansas City at their own game, and beat them, that all is ever gonna be said. Yesterday we didn’t do that.’

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who lost $1million betting on the Bills to win the Super Bowl, claimed the game was ‘rigged’ after Allen was controversially denied a first down.

Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless have also claimed the Chiefs are favored by officials but the former NFL head of refereeing shut down conspiracy theories.

‘If there’s a room somewhere in the NFL offices where they were writing the script, they never invited me – and I was the head of officiating,’ Dean Blandino told TMZ. ‘I feel like I’d be a pretty important contributor to that.’
