NFL announce Taylor Swift collaborator will perform pre-Super Bowl concert

Post Malone is headed to the Big Easy to perform at the Super Bowl’s YouTube tailgate concert, steps away from the Caesars Superdome on game day.

Malone is one of the biggest stars in pop music, having sold over 80million records in his career.

The 29-year-old has a few connections to the NFL, including as a collaborator with Taylor Swift on her 2024 album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.

Malone and Swift sang ‘Fortnight’ together, which was the lead single for her album.

Malone also got on the mic for ‘America The Beautiful’ before last year’s Super Bowl.

The ‘Circles’ singer has sung at an NFL game more recently than the last Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory, for a duet of ‘Levii’s Jeans’ with Beyonce during her halftime show on Christmas Day.

Swift herself is not slated to perform during the festivities in New Orleans, although the 14-time Grammy winner is expected to be in town for the Super Bowl.

The ‘Anti-Hero’ singer has been dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce publicly since September 2023 and has attended 22 of his games since their romance began, with the team holding a 19-3 record in those contests.

The Chiefs have not lost with Swift in attendance since Christmas Day in 2023.

To complete the three-peat, the Chiefs will have to take down the Philadelphia Eagles, who they also defeated in the Super Bowl two years ago.

Malone will have more than enough time after his performance ends to make his way to the Superdome for the big game should Swift have rented out a luxury suite at the Super Bowl for the second consecutive year.
