An act of kindness saw a child with serious health issues get treated to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch his favorite team in person as they reached the Super Bowl.

In a video set up by a content creator, an eight year old Philadelphia Eagles fan named Declan was seen shopping in a grocery store when he was offered a choice between a ‘mystery bird’ (a plushie of an Eagles mascot) and $1,000 cash.

Declan, who was wearing Eagles gear head-to-toe, opted for the plushie and introduced himself to the man behind the camera, Zachery Dereniowski. 

It was after he was handed the plushie that Declan revealed he had always wanted to go to an Eagles game – but never did because he has been in the hospital with a serious condition, Systemic Juvenile Arthritis.

Declan said he was actually on the way to the hospital for a party to celebrate the team’s appearance in Sunday’s NFC Championship game after having been at the facility undergoing treatment 17 times.

It was then that Dereniowski decided to surprise Declan with tickets to the NFC тιтle game – and gifted him the $1,000 anyway.

Declan ended up giving away the $1,000 at the grocery store where the video was filmed

He later was seen on the sidelines at Lincoln Financial Field where he met Saquon Barkley

Declan then donated the money to others at the grocery store, telling them ‘everything’s free’ so that they wouldn’t have to pay for their food.

The video then cut to Declan standing on the sidelines at Lincoln Financial Field holding up a cardboard sign and meeting Eagles legend LeSean McCoy, former New England Patriots тιԍнт end Rob Gronkowski, actor and Eagles superfan Bradley Cooper, and Eagles cornerback Isaiah Rodgers – who gifted him his gloves.

Declan went to the game wearing the jersey of Eagles running back Saquon Barkley. At one point, the superstar came over and signed the back of his jersey.  

He was also overheard saying, ‘this is the best day of my life’ – all before watching as Barkley and the rest of the Eagles dominated the Washington Commanders en route to clinching an appearance in Super Bowl LIX.

The video has been viewed over a million times on TikTok and has received over 90,000 likes. 

Declan will now be watching Super Bowl LIX to see if his Eagles can beat the Kansas City Chiefs to win a second championship in franchise history.
