Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips headʙuттed Travis Kelce in a heated confrontation during Sunday’s AFC Championship showdown – and it is not the first time he has clashed with the Kelce family.
Phillips responded with force to Kelce when the Kansas City Chiefs тιԍнт end Kelce started chirping at Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who had failed to get across to stop a Patrick Mahomes touchdown.
Phillips ran over and headʙuттed Kelce, who threw his arms out as he stepped back from taking the hit. Phillips was hit with an unnecessary roughness penalty but Kelce escaped any form of punishment.
And it is not the first time Phillips has been embroiled in a feud with the Kelce family.
Last year, he responded angrily to Jason Kelce when the then Philadelphia Eagles offensive linemen accused him of deliberately trying to hurt Cam Jurgens in a November 2023 game.
Kelce said ‘bulls***’ Phillips wasn’t fined for taking Jurgens down when he had moved offside and said the Bills man was ‘trying to hurt’ his teammate.

Phillips angrily hit back at the older Kelce brother, saying: ‘You look at the tush push, he (Kelce) dives at somebody’s knees every play and tries to roll them up.
‘So for him to speak on somebody being dirty, I don’t think he has any right or any means to call for a fine when he does a whole bunch of stuff. I just think that’s kind of crazy for him to even mention that.
‘He is a well respected guy around the league for whatever reason.
‘Now he suddenly has a voice because he is on his brother’s podcast but the way he uses his voice, it doesn’t make any sense.
‘I’m 335 pounds – how am I going to stop regardless? How do I know the ball wasn’t going?
‘Even if they would have got that play off, it is either them hitting us or us hitting them. You can dish it out, obviously, but can’t take it? That is just soft.’
Kelce had said of the incident on his New Heights podcast: ‘I thought it was bull***t at the time. I really did. I said so to the official on the field. I said, ‘I’ve been running that play a lot of years. I’ve seen people jump offsides. He made zero effort to stop after he jumped offsides.’
‘He purposely tried to hurt Cam Jurgens. I thought it should have been a personal foul and I think he should be fined for that play.
