Tom Brady savagely pokes fun at Eagles legend Nick Foles for past Super Bowl memory

As Fox’s cameras panned to show Philadelphia Eagles legend Nick Foles in the crowd during Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, Tom Brady wasted no time bringing up their most famous showdown. 

Brady and Foles were the starting quarterbacks for the 2018 Super Bowl, where the Eagles defeated the Patriots to hand the now-Fox broadcaster one of his three тιтle-game losses. 

Foles is the only quarterback not named Eli Manning to defeat Brady on the NFL’s biggest stage.  

It was a matter of when, not if, during Fox’s broadcast that Brady’s past run-in with the Eagles would be brought up as he called the game from Lincoln Financial Field. 

‘Nick, I don’t hate you. I’m just jealous of you. You caught it, I didn’t,’ Brady said.  

Brady is referring to both now-retired quarterbacks trying to catch a pᴀss in the Super Bowl seven years ago.

Brady dropped what would have been a first-down catch in the second quarter of that Super Bowl on a pᴀss from Danny Amendola.

Foles had much better luck with the now-infamous ‘Philly Special’ where тιԍнт end Trey Burton tossing him a touchdown pᴀss, also in the second quarter. 

Foles was named Super Bowl MVP in his only appearance in the NFL’s championship game. Brady had nine other chances at a Super Bowl тιтle. 

Brady retired from the NFL officially before Foles, who only hung up his shoulder pads last September.  

The Eagles will now try to have Jalen Hurts be the latest Philadelphia quarterback to win a Super Bowl as they face the Kansas City Chiefs in two weeks. 

Tom Brady will also be on the call for that championship tilt in New Orleans.
